Levera Development Ltd. Breaks Ground on Multi-Million Dollar Project

Levera Development Ltd. has begun building Phase I on the north coast of Grenada, part if the Caribbean Islands in the West Indies.

The ground breaking ceremony for Levera Beach Resort, the 375 acre development on the northern coast of Grenada, took place early November 2016, where hundreds of guests gathered to celebrate the future this resort will bring to the economy of the country.

Although construction began a few months prior to the event, guests, media, international investors, and Grenadian Nationals gathered on-site at the business center to officially mark the occasion.  Levera Beach Resort will be the first of its kind in the northern part of Grenada, transforming 375 acres into a unique multi-million dollar project.  Once completed, the first phase of the project, Turtle Beach, will encompass an 80 unit boutique hotel, 40 hotel cottages, 20 casitas and villas, infinity pools, spa, and an organic orchard used to service the 2 farm-to-table restaurants.

November 2016 was one of the rainiest on record in the northern parish of St. Patricks, Grenada, but the rainfall didn’t stop the sod turning event, which was originally planned to take place on the building site for the Seaside Cottages.  The Cottages are now under construction: multiple foundations have been poured and walls are vertical. Construction is moving along quickly as the cottages are now well on their way to be completed within 12-18 months.

Speaking at the sod turning ceremony in support of the project, Prime Minister Keith Mitchell stated, “As activities increase, the Bathway — Levera activity — the locals enjoying the beauty of this place, will expand. The little shops around different parts, whether it’s Hermitage, River Sallee, the Sauteurs town, the hairdressing businesses, the tailors, the carpenters… different persons will in fact benefit and, of course, the retail sector.”

In addition, Randall Oveson, Levera Beach Resort General Manager commented, “It is very exciting to become part of such a dynamic culture. The development will soon become an economic and tourism anchor for the northern parishes. A new destination for Grenada.”

“As the first phase is opened, there will be over 100 people employed, in this very place. When the entire project is done, it’ll provide over 400 jobs to the island of Grenada,” Oveson added.

Also in attendance were Senator Winston Garraway; Senator Pamela Moses; Anthony Boatswain, Minister of Education; and Andrea Phillip, CEO Grenada Schools Inc. who accepted a donation of 30 Android tablets to be used in the local schools and libraries.

Levera Beach Resort is an approved project under the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Programme. An investment of US$350,000 will qualify an investor and his/her family for citizenship of Grenada. During the strict vetting process, candidates must pass a due diligence and background check, which guarantee only reliable candidates will be granted citizenship.  For more information on Levera Beach Resort and the construction progress visit leveragrenada.com.
